About Puppy Paws Productions Thanks for your interest in Puppy Paws Productions.
The inspiration for our company name and logo sprouted while living in San Francisco, CA. The muse, however, began in kindergarten with my first set of crayons. Though not frequently nurtured, it blossomed just the same. The passion I have for pooches of all colors, shapes, and sizes and the yen to create eventually paralleled in San Diego years later - creating a seed for a card business. Surely, though, I could not survive on these little doggy drawings that I sent friends through the years. I racked up quite some time on the corporate hamster wheel till, lo and behold one day, somebody wanted to purchase cards of a design I had sent them. With the inspiration of an actual sale of what I had drawn, for the first time I envisioned making a living at what I most enjoy doing. So midlife, I decided to embark on this one-woman-one-dog (now two) entrepreneurial adventure and indulge my two enthusiasms with this Mission Statement: 1. To provide a means to communicate using dogs as ambassadors. 2. To be the little card company that could. I spent some time tending to my creative garden and the result are these illustrations that have been tumbling out since 2005. My hope is that they not only amuse you, but that you will buy a card or a box and tell all in the land that you encounter to buy a card or box as well. Well, before you know it, I may not have to return to the dog-eat-dog world out there. I can stay at Puppy Paws Productions, Pepper and Carmelle faithfully at my side, letting my imagination flourish doing what I absolutely love to do. Barbara A. Fuscsick, Founder & Illustrator
The Team My sweet 15 year-old Aussie-mixed pound puppy is President and CEO (Canine Extra Ordinary) of our operation. In March 2008 we added some new talent to our pack with the addition of a tender Cocker Spaniel now named Carmelle. She has accepted the post of VIP (Very Important Pooch) Vice President. They require that our daily company meetings be held at our neighborhood dog park, as they insist that the fresh air is conducive to their productivity. While both are very dignified, they are not above begging every now and then. They humbly implore you to keep them in Kibbles by patronizing their Human's work.
